Nick Jonah Davis is a guitarist, composer and audio engineer based in Derbyshire.

Drawing inspiration from folk traditions, as well as drone, ambience, free improvisation and psychedelia, Nick’s music is usually rooted in emotionally resonant solo instrumental performance on guitar or lap steel. Since 2009 he has released a variety of albums and EPs on labels including Tompkins Square, Eiderdown Records, Sonido Polifonico and Lancashire and Somerset. Live shows have included gigs with Lori Goldston, Alasdair Roberts, William Tyler, Mike Gangloff, Ex-Easter Island Head, Toby Hay, Burd Ellen and Gwenifer Raymond.

Nick’s production career has included recording albums by artists including Jacken Elswyth  (‘At Fargrounds’), Elizabeth Still (‘Going for Home’) and C Joynes (‘Poor Boy on the Wire’). As a producer he prefers to work with artists in unorthodox locations, often repurposing non-studio environments for remote recording sessions, with mixing and mastering taking place in his own studio. Nick has worked on records by the Horse Loom, Mike Gangloff, C Joynes, Burd Ellen, Henry Parker, Ben McElroy, Leah Sinead, Ceri Rhys Matthews, and Dawn Terry.
